Alma Sadé

Born in Tel Aviv, soprano Alma Sadé has earned acclaim across Europe and beyond for her dynamic stage presence and vocal versatility. She studied at the prestigious Mannes College of Music in New York City, where she developed a wide-ranging repertoire and a keen dramatic sensibility.

From 2009 to 2013, she was a member of the ensemble at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, followed by a permanent position at the Komische Oper Berlin from 2014 onwards , where she became a key figure in the company’s innovative productions. Over the years, she has collaborated with renowned directors such as Barrie Kosky, Christoph Loy, Irina Brook, and others, bringing powerful interpretations to both classic and contemporary works.

Her signature roles include Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Despina (Così fan tutte), Jenny (Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel) and many more, showcasing her stylistic range from Mozart to Weill to operetta. Her portrayal of Nanetta in Falstaff, she received rave reviews:

Alma continues to captivate audiences with her compelling artistry and deep musicality. Next season she will be a part of the exciting new project „K“ by Barrie Kosky in the Berliner Ensemble.
